How Do I Learn In The United Kingdom?
To exercise all of the HCPC-regulated terminology in the UK, you must demonstrate to the HCPC that you have broadly similar skills to those who received their training in the UK.
The HCPC does an equivalent check based on a doctorate-level British degree.
When your degree is from a country other than the UK, the HCPC would want to review more of your qualifications and expertise and see what you need to add to meet the HCPC’s preferred standard for the healthcare career, or where you will need to begin studying if you have already come to the UK.

European Mutual Recognition (EMR)
The format of the EMR application process is similar to that of international applications.
Registration Assessors evaluate the qualifications, schooling, and training you apply through the EMR registration forms, and make a determination within 60 working days.
The international application process takes the same path as the international application process.

The process follows four steps:

- Decision letter
The issuance of a letter starting your entry to the HCPC registry will validate your successful decision.

If you apply through the EMR and are a national of a relevant EEA state, you will be exempt. Please remember that speech and language therapists must achieve better scores.
